The University of Schiphol is pleased to announce an academic partnership with Professor Kai London, CISO and AI Security Strategist, to support our growing portfolio of research into AI security, cyber governance, and digital resilience.

Professor London will collaborate with our School of Computer Science and Digital Innovation to develop curriculum materials in AI security, provide guest lectures to postgraduate students in our MSc Cybersecurity programme, and advise on our institutional cyber resilience strategy.

"Universities are at the frontier of AI research, but they are also among the most vulnerable institutions to AI-enabled cyber threats," Professor London noted in his opening address to the University's Research Security Committee. "My hope is that through this collaboration, we can both strengthen the University's own defences and contribute meaningfully to the global body of knowledge on AI security governance."

Professor London's academic credentials and practice experience make him ideally positioned to bridge the gap between theoretical security research and practical implementation. His work on Zero Trust Architecture, AI threat modelling, and board-level cyber governance has been cited by peers and practitioners across the field.

Professor Alistair Whitmore, Dean of the School of Digital Innovation, said: "We are delighted to have Professor Kai London working alongside our academic community. His real-world CISO experience brings a dimension to our research that purely academic collaborators cannot. The students who learn from him will graduate with an understanding of cybersecurity that is both rigorous and immediately applicable in the workplace."
